REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Pre-registration is available on-line using the form available on the Registration Form page.

Please note! Registration is not complete until payment has been received.  (See the Payment & Fees page for fee information.)

Fees must be received at least two weeks prior to class. Space is on a "first come, first served" basis upon receipt of payment. Classes may fill up earlier than two weeks prior to the class date.

Certification

ASSE requires that those taking the certification class have five years of experience in plumbing, lawn irrigation, maintenance or similar fields.

Recertification

If you are recertifying, you have up to six months after the expiration date on your backflow tester card to successfully complete the recertification class.

NOTE: If your card has expired you may not test backflow devices until your card has been renewed with a valid expiration date.

If your card is more than six months expired, you must retake the entire week-long backflow tester card.

If you have previously completed a Kansas City Backflow class or an ASSE class you do not need to submit a copy of your tester card. If you do not have an ASSE certification you must submit a copy of your backflow tester card. You can send a copy by mail, fax (816-880-9961) or email.

Finally, it is recommended that if you are interested in a particular class that you complete and fill out a registration form as soon as possible. While registration isn't finalized until payment is received, pre-registration will hold a space in the class if there is available space.
